upBEAT in the Community

The Eastwood Estate is an estate in Roehampton, Wandsworth, South London. upBEAT was launched on 14th March 2009 on the Eastwood Estate. Thanks must go to the energy and input of the Eastwood Community Clubrooms Committee, who gave generously of their time, people and resources in making that day so successful and such fun. Special thanks also goes to Ellie Rashbrook, the Clubrooms Treasurer, who was a driving force for everything that was established for activities on the estate. The Thames Community Foundation grant also enabled the day to take place, plus our very first set of 10 dance sessions, led by Sinead and enjoyed by many of the youth on the estate. This page is dedicated to the young people on the estate who are a warm and approachable group.
